Does every person respond to hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy does need the individual to be fully committed to the process and they will need to want to make positive changes in their lives.  The majority of people can be hypnotised although some are more susceptible to suggestions than others.  Above all you should keep an open mind as any scepticism may have a negative effect on your susceptibility to hypnosis.


How often and how many sessions will I need?

How often you will need to be seen will be decided between you and Amanda.  Normally you would meet once a week but depending on the changes that you see and how you feel you may decide to have more regular or perhaps see Amanda less frequently.  The amount of sessions will depend on your circumstances and the reasons you have decided to choose hypnotherapy, for example, smoking cessation is a one off session of one and a half to two hours, phobias are approximately three sessions, other issues maybe longer but most should be dealt with in eight to twelve sessions.

We can discuss this at your initial consultation but obviously the amount of sessions will ultimately depend on how you feel about the way your life is heading.

The sessions can be undertaken face to face or via an online platform and last for approximately one hour.
